How to Fill Out a Yahtzee Score Sheet

Gather Your Materials

Before you start, make sure you have a Yahtzee score sheet, a pen or pencil, and five dice.

Understanding the Score Sheet

The score sheet is divided into two sections: the upper section and the lower section. The upper section is for scoring individual dice combinations, while the lower section is for scoring specific combinations of dice.

Filling Out the Upper Section

The upper section has six rows, each corresponding to a different dice combination:

  • Aces: Sum of all dice showing 1
  • Twos: Sum of all dice showing 2
  • Threes: Sum of all dice showing 3
  • Fours: Sum of all dice showing 4
  • Fives: Sum of all dice showing 5
  • Sixes: Sum of all dice showing 6

For each row, roll the dice and add up the total of the corresponding numbers. Write the total in the box. If you don’t roll any of the corresponding numbers, write a zero.

Filling Out the Lower Section

The lower section has seven rows, each corresponding to a different combination of dice:

  • 3 of a Kind: Sum of all dice if you have three or more of the same number
  • 4 of a Kind: Sum of all dice if you have four or more of the same number
  • Full House: 25 points if you have three of one number and two of another
  • Small Straight: 30 points if you have four consecutive numbers
  • Large Straight: 40 points if you have five consecutive numbers
  • Yahtzee: 50 points if you have five of the same number
  • Chance: Sum of all dice

For each row, roll the dice and see if you have the corresponding combination. If you do, write the total in the box. If you don’t, write a zero.

Calculating Your Score

Once you have filled out the score sheet, add up the totals in each section. The upper section has a bonus of 35 points if you score 63 or more points. The lower section has no bonus. Your total score is the sum of the upper and lower section scores.

Yahtzee Form: Frequently Asked Questions

Yahtzee is a classic dice game that involves rolling five dice and trying to score points by forming different combinations. It can be a lot of fun, but if you’re new to the game, you might have some questions about the Yahtzee form.

What is a Yahtzee Form?

A Yahtzee form is a score sheet that you use to keep track of your scores in a game of Yahtzee. It has thirteen different categories that you can score points in.

How do I fill out a Yahtzee form?

The Yahtzee form is pretty straightforward. You’ll roll the dice five times, and then you’ll choose a category to score your points in. You can only score in each category once. If you don’t like any of the categories, you can choose to “cross off” a category.

What is the best way to score in Yahtzee?

There’s no one “best” way to score in Yahtzee. It depends on what you roll and what categories are still available. It’s a good idea to try to score as many points as possible in the upper section of the form (Aces through Sixes) because you can get a bonus if you score at least 63 points in that section.

Can I use a Yahtzee form online?

Yes, there are many websites and apps that allow you to play Yahtzee online. You can also find printable Yahtzee forms online.
